Shrimp in Brown Butter Sauce

So many flavors in this super easy and versatile shrimp preparation. Lemony, nutty sauce with a hint of spice.
Here it is served on top of Sweet Potato Sage Risotto. Great Fall dish!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb large shrimp
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • salt and pepper
  • tbsp parsley or cilantro for color

Instructions
 

  • In a medium sized skillet over medium low heat add the butter. Cook until butter starts to foam, and turn brown. About 3-4 minutes.
  • Add the shrimp and season with salt and pepper. Turn the heat to medium high.
  • Cook until the shrimp turns pink about 2 minutes each side.
  • Add the lemon juice, and red pepper flakes. Sprinkle with parsley. Serve immediately. Best tossed with pasta or over rice or risotto.
